My crow likes to perch on things. If you are practicing perching your crow up on a ledge (or any other object), consider practicing in front of your bed/couch. This way, if you topple forward (which we do from time to time, esp when trying new asana variations), you’ll topple into something soft instead of all the down to the ground.

true activation of the sushumna (central channel) is a quite blissful experience. in kundalini yoga practices it is noted that a clearing of the left and right channels (ida and pingala) must be accomplished before the kundalini can fully raised. this can be done in a variety of ways including asana (physical yoga), pranayama (breathing techniques), and a healthy, light diet.
